Why Easter Makes Me Love Storytelling Even More

As a photographer and videographer, storytelling is at the heart of everything I do. Whether I'm capturing the nervous excitement before a wedding, the quiet bond between a mother and child, or the joy of someone stepping into a new chapter, I’m always chasing the story.
And Easter? Easter is the greatest story ever told.
It’s a story of pain, love, sacrifice, silence… and then the most beautiful twist—resurrection. The kind of story that brings hope where there was none. Life where there was death. A future when everything seemed lost.
“For the joy set before Him He endured the cross…” – Hebrews 12:2 (NIV)
This verse always hits me. Jesus endured the cross, not just out of duty, but because of joy—the joy of redeeming us, restoring us, rewriting our story.
It reminds me why I do what I do.
Behind every shoot, every edit, every frame I capture, there’s a deeper desire to tell stories that matter. Because every person I photograph, every couple I film, every scene I create—has a story worth telling. And I believe with all my heart that God is at work in each one.
When I think of Easter, I’m reminded that the broken moments don’t have to be the end of the story. That beauty can come from ashes. That joy can rise from sorrow. And that’s the kind of truth I want my work to reflect.
“He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted… to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes.” – Isaiah 61:1,3 (NIV)
So this Easter, I’m celebrating the storyteller of all storytellers—Jesus. And I’m feeling incredibly thankful that He invites us to be part of His narrative. Whether we’re behind the camera or in front of it, our lives are stories of redemption, grace, and purpose.
If you're reading this, I want you to know: Your story matters. It’s still being written. And there is resurrection hope in every page.
He is risen. He is writing something beautiful. And I’m honored to help tell it.
